Events

See here for information about regular events such as the Spring Special Opening (March 25 - April 24), Chrysanthemum Exhibition (November 1 - 15), and orchid exhibition (late November), as well as the best times to see plants and flowers in the garden throughout the year.
The calendar shows the detailed schedule of events at the garden, such as guided walking tours, the Mother and Child Woods Nature Classroom, and art exhibitions.
At the Mother and Child Woods, an area for nature observation in Shinjuku Gyoen, events include the Nature Classroom, where parents and children can interact with nature, and the Wild Bird Nest Box Program, a hands-on experience where parents and children can learn about the ecology of wild birds and the lives of living creatures by observing nest boxes installed within the Mother and Child Woods.
Authorized volunteers offer free guided walking tours of the garden on the second and fourth Saturday of every month, starting from 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Garden tours can be adapted according to the interests of participants.
