2030 Ambition Highlights: Armenia and Norway

Roughly a month after the Leaders Summit on Climate and Earth Day 2021, Armenia and Norway shared their climate ambition toward 2030 through their Platform for Redesign updates.

Armenia
Armenia submitted its enhanced Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), which considers its strategic plan to double the share of renewable energy in energy generation by 2030 “to achieve climate neutrality in the second half of this century.”

Norway
Toward achieving its highly ambitious enhanced 2030 climate target submitted to the UNFCCC last year, Norway followed up with a climate plan (white paper) that includes increasing the price on carbon and incentivizing the shift to zero-emission vehicles in alignment with its National Transport Plan.
