SUP is the abbreviation for Stand-Up Paddleboarding.
With this activity, you literally stand on a paddleboard and put all your strength into paddling, which propels you across the water. It almost feels as though you're walking on the ocean.
It's great for everyone from children to adults.
You may be thinking, “Standing on a board floating on the ocean sounds pretty scary. . . .” SUP boards are highly buoyant and easy to balance on, and you can ride them in various postures, including sitting or lying down.
Join a tour to enjoy incredible views of Shiretoko's pristine natural environment from the ocean while bobbing gently over the water as you paddle along.
